During a meeting today, I had the pleasure of speaking with a passionate young person who identifies as queer. We discussed the importance of creating an inclusive community that provides a safe space for marginalized groups and the need for spiritual support. I mentioned my interest in gaining first-hand experience and proper knowledge in harm reduction, and we discussed the possibility of visiting some sites together. I was saddened to learn that this young person has been the victim of numerous attacks and hurtful incidents because of their sexuality. However, we both expressed our commitment to having more conversations and working together in the future to benefit the community.
