Today, I attended a fantastic event organized by Chinatown Together to bring people from different generations and cultures together. During the event, I had a meaningful conversation with a young person named S, who identified as a young queer. S opened up to me about their experience with a conservative church that did not accept LGPTQ+ individuals, which led S to leave the church. Despite this, S still believed in God and His unconditional love for all people, which is truly inspiring. I hope our community can become a safe and welcoming space for people of all backgrounds, where everyone is treated with respect and kindness. Together, we can create a more inclusive and compassionate world.
