A group of individuals, including me, recently had the opportunity to meet with the staff of Vancouver Coastal Health’s Department of Substance Use to discuss our concerns about British Columbia’s latest policy decision to end the decriminalization of drugs. Although we appreciate the time and effort the VCH staff put into the meeting, we were hoping for more concrete solutions to help mitigate the impact of this decision on our community. Nevertheless, we remain committed to finding a path forward and have agreed to continue the conversation in another meeting.
