Judy, a retired advocate for the homeless at Vancouver City Hall, is also a devoted Anglican Christian. Today, I had the opportunity to sit down with her for coffee. She generously shared her experiences and taught me how to engage with the homeless on the streets compassionately. Her use of Matthew 25 to illustrate her motivation to serve the homeless deeply resonated with me: “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” I firmly believe that serving the homeless is not just about the social gospel, as many evangelicals describe it, but rather about bringing the gospel to people and serving the Lord.
May 15, 2024 – Was blessed to listen and learn from this faithful Anglican Christian.
