Today, during my visit with MH, I learned about his challenges while sleeping on the street for several years. MH expressed his concerns about the increasing dangers of street life and his feelings of resignation while waiting for housing from BC Housing. Being homeless is much more difficult than many people realize. To help individuals like MH reintegrate into society, it’s important to provide food and access to stable housing and job opportunities. Like many others, MH is eager to find employment and move past his current circumstances. It’s important to consider how we can speed up finding safe housing for individuals like MH and create more opportunities for the homeless to secure employment.
