Coffee shops have become central hubs for community and connection, bringing people together in an ever-increasingly digital world. Today, I had a meaningful conversation with Pastor Beth, who leads an affirming evangelical church. This church affirms that LGBTQ+ individuals can preach the gospel, help people follow Jesus, and value the Bible’s importance in our faith journey. I am thankful to Pastor Beth for inviting me to be a part of a community of like-minded pastors. It was truly reassuring to discover that I am not alone in my endeavor to meld affirming and evangelical perspectives in my pastoral ministry. This feeling of community and connection is incredibly uplifting.
