I was honored to speak and pray at a warm gathering to remember and celebrate D’s life (for privacy and convenience, let me call this person “D”). D was a very active and faithful member of our outreach ministry and community for about 10 years.

I had the honor of knowing D through our outreach ministry. I miss him but feel his presence as I move the tables and chairs. I believe D has found eternal rest and peace in God.

D was once homeless but was supported to have a place to live. Many people involved in community work came to the gathering for D. Their presence was a testament to D’s love and connection with this community, which has become D’s home.
