Today, I took a significant step by completing Opioid Poisoning Recognition and Response training, a Naloxone 101 course. It was a sobering but incredibly important experience. Learning about the signs of opioid poisoning and how to administer naloxone has equipped me with potentially life-saving knowledge.
The statistics are alarming, and the reality of the opioid crisis is heartbreaking. This training reinforced the importance of compassion, understanding, and immediate action. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn how to be part of the solution.
It’s not just about administering naloxone; it’s about breaking down stigma, supporting those struggling with substance use, and fostering a community where everyone feels safe. If you have the chance, I highly recommend taking this training. You never know when you might be able to make a difference
