This past Sunday evening, I had the privilege of attending Recovery Church at the Salvation Army Richmond Community Church. As someone who’s been actively reaching out and serving the community, I came not just to observe—but to experience, to be present, and to offer support.
🛐 A Space for Healing and Hope
Recovery Church is more than a service—it’s a sanctuary for those walking the path of recovery. Held at 8 PM, it welcomes anyone seeking connection, healing, and grace. The atmosphere is calm, honest, and deeply human.
I didn’t come with expectations. I came with an open heart. And what I found was a room full of people showing up with courage—each carrying their own story, each seeking something real.
🤲 A Commitment to Serve
Being present is part of the calling—but presence alone isn’t enough. I’ve made the decision to serve and work alongside the leaders and the folks who gather here. Their dedication, vulnerability, and strength inspire me, and I want to walk with them—not just on Sundays, but in the everyday moments where healing takes root.
Whether it’s lending a hand, listening deeply, or simply being available, I’m committed to supporting this community in meaningful ways. Recovery Church isn’t just a place I visited—it’s a place I’m choosing to invest in.
🌱 A Personal Reflection
This experience reminded me that healing happens in relationship. It’s not about fixing others—it’s about walking together, sharing burdens, and celebrating progress. Recovery Church offers that kind of space, and I’m honored to be part of it.
I left feeling encouraged, grounded, and ready to contribute—not just with words, but with action.
🙌 Looking Ahead
If you’re in Richmond and searching for a space where recovery and faith meet, Recovery Church is worth visiting. Whether you’re seeking healing or looking to support others, you’ll find open arms and open hearts.
For me, this Sunday wasn’t just a visit—it was a beginning. And I look forward to serving, growing, and walking alongside this incredible community in the days ahead.
