Today, I had a meeting with Alan Hill, who’s the Inclusive Community Coordinator for Richmond Multicultural Community Services. I was encouraged by Alan’s work to bring people together for dialogue. Our country welcomes people with different cultures to come to live here together. For me, the success of multiculturalism relies on our intercultural work. If people with different cultures living in the same community are willing to listen, learn and respect each other’s culture and values, then our community will be in harmony with minimizing misunderstanding and conflict. Alan endorsed what 360 Community has been doing about fostering an inclusive community. We are going to work together to foster intercultural connections and inclusive community in the coming future.

Hi, speaking about living together in our community. I think we have a big people with mental health and substance. Use people that come into this country. Have to realize this is going on in every country. But as they immigrate, here, it is going on in our country, our province and in this city of Richmond, I would like to be a part of this committee to help. Bridge, the gap between the community of not understanding mental health and substance use. I am a person with lived and living experience in the area of life as well as my son. 2 years ago, passed away from it opiate overdose, enrichment, which he was a resident of. I also have other friends that are homeless. Stigmatized and punished by the community for their life and some choices that are not theirs. The stigma around mental health and substance use is completely untrue and is unsafe for those residents living with? Mental health and substance use. Please let me know what I can do to help bridge the gap in our community.Thank you.
